I wasn't expecting them to have the OPI Texas collection yet, it only released yesterday, and it took them a month to get the Katy Perry collection as it released.
But there it was!!
I only picked up one color, for now at least.
I had to make a quick decision, and this was the one that really stood out to me.
Do You Think I'm Tex-y?
I don't have any other shades like this, surprisingly. It is a really nice berry pink that leans towards red.
This shade is part of the new Sorbet finish polishes from OPI.
Which in simple terms means it is pretty sheer, and it is supposed to be a bit translucent.

Some people are calling this finish jelly - but I don't really think it looks much like other jelly polishes I have.
I actually really like this shade and its sheer/build-able finish.
OPI suggests 2 coats for the sorbet look and 3 for more opacity.

I prefer the look of 3 coats, but it still isn't opaque.
Some people have been saying that one coat of these sorbet polishes over white would do the trick, but that is not the case.

This time, the pinky has 3 coats over white. Much better, but a little more neon than bottle color.
As I said, over white it gets more neon.
In this picture you can see how the polish is much thinner than usual - see where you can see right into the bottle?
I am pretty much in love with this color and as soon as I take off the nails I just did for a party tomorrow night, this is going on my nails!
I might need to pick up one of the orange shades as well as Houston We Have A Purple.
Oh yeah, my daddy also bought me this :)
You Don't Know Jacques and Ink - with a cosmetic bag! On sale!
Good polish day for me!
Nice swatches! I'd like to see what it looks like over silver...
