old wet n wild swatches

Hi everyone, today I'm going to show you my other two Wet N Wild polishes from years ago.

I already showed you Shameless, the star of these three, here.

As I mentioned in that post, I am pretty sure that Shameless is at least 13 years old.
I am positive the pink one is 13 years old. I distinctly remember getting it in Florida when I was 7.
The green one is at least 8 or 9 years old.

Despite their age, all three of these polishes are still perfect!

The pink one is called 416A.

This is 2 coats. It looks a bit streaky but that was not visible in person.

This color is similar to one of my favorite pink polishes - Orly's Blushing Bud.

About half of the bottle of 416A is gone - party due to the fact that I wore this a lot when I was younger, and also partly due to the fact that I spilled a lot of it on my friend's leg while I was painting her toes with it. I can remember that clearly as well.

This green is 454C.
This polish is actually really nice! 2 coats.
Last year when I got into nail polish, I wore this one a LOT because it was one of the most interesting colors I had at the time.
It is a dark green with pretty almost-golden shimmer. A bit metallic.
It is similar to Sinful Colors San Francisco.

Similar, but not dupes. San Francisco doesn't have the golden shimmer which really makes the WNW one cool.

These polishes really prove that you don't need to throw out your nail polish after a year or two like some people suggest!

  1. 454C is super pretty! And Shameless looks similar to an oldie that I have only mine is called Shiver, I believe. The only difference is that Shiver has silver shimmer and not pink.

  2. I love finding old polishes in my collection. The only downside is that you can't repurchase it again, but you can go on the hunt for a dupe ... or be really pro-active and try to franken it. ;)

  5. Funny, one of my old wet n wild's is a dark green with a gold shimmer, but it is labeled "416A Metallic Green"
I guess their old labeling and naming was not very consistent lol

  6. Stephefc, knowing all the different versions of Shameless, I bet your Metallic Green is exactly the same as mine. Haha.

  7. I *had* that green in college (about 15 years ago!) and threw it out because it was "too bright". Boo on me. Thanks for a little trip down polish memory lane!

  8. I have the green also but it's labeled 416A on my bottle, and I see both the pink and green when I look it up online. >.< Weeeeird.

  9. You made some decent points there. I looked on the internet for the issue and found most individuals will go along with with your website.
