This is probably my worst challenge post yet. And it will be really short because I need to go study!
Today's theme is Inspired by a Flag.
I figured, I'm from Newfoundland, I should do the Republic of Newfoundland flag!
I did these freehand so it is messy and the flash washed out the green so it doesn't look opaque even though it was!
For this mani I used:
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Whirlwind White
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Presto Pink
OPI - Jade is the New Black
Sorry for this terrible mani! I can't win every day.
it;s great for freehand! You DO win! hehe
ReplyDeleteLooks great, I love the colors. :)
ReplyDeletefor the contest Opi, few months ago, I made a similar nailart with Italian flag! :) this is the link: http://officinadelmakeup.blogspot.com/2011/05/contest-opi-la-mia-recensione.html
ReplyDeleteHehe, don't bother it is cool manicure ;)
ReplyDeletecool!
ReplyDeleteDon't be hard on yourself! This is a good post... I learned something new! I now know what the flag of Newfoundland looks like and I'll never forget because I saw it in a cute manicure. Total awesome sauce! Thanks for educating me!~ :D
ReplyDeleteBah I wish I could freehand like that! I think it's cute :)
ReplyDeletelol I am LOVING that "Inspired by a flag" was ACTUALLY on there. Nice job though!
ReplyDelete@Kimaloo This isn't actually the Newfoundland and Labrador flag, haha. (Newfoundland and Labrador are one province, but we often refer to ourselves as different ones.) In the past some people considered this the Newfoundland flag, as well as the Union Jack was used by people but currently there's a different one. I have this on my nails now :)
ReplyDeleteYep, this is the Republic of Newfoundland flag! from before we became part of Canada. Much easier to recreate on a nail, don't you think?
DeleteI’d have to check with you here. Which is not something I usually do! I enjoy reading a post that will make people think. Also, thanks for allowing me to comment!
