If you follow me on Instagram, you definitely have seen my twice-monthly posts of different crochet squares which will eventually become a blanket. I've had a lot of requests for the patterns and more pictures and whatnot, so now that the project is halfway completed, I figured it is a good time to begin rounding up all that information for you lovely people! It will be a long and wordy post because there's just so much information to share! Keep reading for all the details.

crochet block-a-month blanket roundup - part 1
Hello everyone and welcome to the first crochet post here in ages! Like seriously two years maybe. I don't know why I never continued doing them because I spend a lot of time crocheting and it is another passion of mine that I know a lot of you share. I'll let a few ideas trickle in over here more frequently for my nail'n'yarn-loving readers!

CG spring dots
Hola! While perusing Sally's recently, China Glaze tricked me into simultaneously buying three purples from their spring collection.
I immediately used two of them to create this cute dotticure! I think that's the first time I've used that word.
China Glaze - What A Pansy & China Glaze - In A Lily Bit
These polishes have lovely formulas, no complaints, and the colors are just so springy. (Even though spring is a myth around here... It's snowing right now.)
I did this super quick with a toothpick. I thought my dots were kinda messy but I actually had a ton of people asking me about these nails and loving them! Bishes love dots.
Add a midi ring, and it's actually one of my most liked photos on Instagram! I guess I did something right! Hahaha.
I might make a second post later on this evening... I feel bad for only posting three times so far this month! Studying really had me busy there for a few weeks. But I got the grades I needed! *Giant sigh of relief.*

The Lacquer Legion: Glam
The school semester is finally over and it is time to get glam with the Lacquer Legion! And not a moment too soon. I've actually had a hard time even finding the energy to paint my nails at all this month so it was nice to have a reason to sit down and treat myself to a beautiful polish!
Great minds think alike, and once again my soul sista Chalkboard Nails and I have come up with the same idea... And because I am headed to work in just a half an hour, I had no time to rethink my plan and do something else. Plus I really wanted this polish on my nails. It's been untried for far too long. And I did an accent nail, so it's different, right? And I know you won't complain about seeing this beauty twice.
OPI - DS Glamour
I swapped for this polish so long ago and was so excited to wear it, but just didn't! Why do we all do that so often? It makes no sense. This is three coats of the polish alone, but two probably could have done the trick if I wasn't going to be photographing it.
I also wanted to do a full-on rhinestone nail like I see all over Instagram from the best nail techs, but sadly I don't have any Swarovski rhinestones so this nail is decidedly lackluster compared to my rhinestone dreams. I used nail glue to stick these suckers on though so hopefully it will last for a couple days!
Hilariously, yesterday my mom found my "baby ring" - yes, a gold ring bought for a baby - and I thought that was the perfect accessory for this manicure. WWTFD? (TF for Tommy Fresh, of course.)
Glamor can mean so many different things for different people and I am so excited to see what everyone participating comes up with! I hope you guys liked this mani, and don't forget to share yours on our Facebook page, or anywhere on social media with the tag #LLglam.

march haul 2014
Okay. Sit down. This is a big one. But not how you may think...
I took part in the BOGO sale on China Glaze and Sally's. With the pro discount, that makes these pretty cheap. And I couldn't leave without one Finger Paints flakie.
China Glaze - In A Lily Bit
China Glaze - Lotus Begin
China Glaze - What A Pansy
China Glaze - Grass is Lime Greener
Finger Paints - Vivid Reflection (I think? I forget...)
On another day, I also bought a bunch of Gelaze for my clients. Whoops. Plus one OPI for me:
OPI - AmazON... AmazOFF
Actually I'm pretty mad that Sally's didn't restock the Gelaze during the BOGO sale so I couldn't go get more. I called yesterday asking if they had come in and they said yes, but it wouldn't be on the floor until today because they had a lot of stock to go through. Ummm... You could put out the items that are on sale first? Especially for the very last day of the sale after waiting like 3 weeks for more to come in.
The girl on the phone said she would put my name down and I could pick some up once they are on the floor. But today was a massive snow storm... Ugh. PLUS I had a $10 off a $20 purchase coupon for my half-birthday that ended yesterday which I was saving for the gels, too. I wonder if they will let me use it. Grrrrrrrr. Rant over.
Got a polish in my Ipsy bag again! A really nice one.
Nicole by OPI - On What Grounds
Now here's where it gets big. You saw what I bought this month...
And here's what I purged.
OVER TWO HUNDRED POLISHES CAN YOU EVEN BELIEVE IT?
I haven't gotten rid of all of them yet, I sold a few, and gave a few to friends, and I'm still trying to decide what to do with the rest.
I'd make a big sale for everyone to browse but I don't think many people would want to buy, given the high shipping costs from Canada. Oh well! Maybe I'll donate some to a women's shelter. Who knows!
My stash is now under 1300!
