On January 22, 2016, we tested the first carbon composite tank produced for Lin Industrial by IVIM. We talked about the tank before. It is much smaller than a rocket tank because it is needed for technology debugging.

The test went like this: At first, the tank was completely filled with water, then with the help of a pressure pump, we gradually increased the pressure in it. Every 5 atmospheres, the tank is held for 1.5 minutes, then the water pumping continues. At a pressure of 50 atmospheres, the outer cylindrical layer of the tank collapsed. However, the inner layer, where the fibers were at an angle, retained its stiffness, although it swelled somewhat - due to inflation, the pressure dropped to 16 atmospheres. After that, the pressure was removed from the tank.
